This project is dedicated to developing scalable solutions for the mass production of high-quality single-walled carbon nanotubes, and to advancing manufacturing technologies for 100-ton-scale SWCNTs and their conductive slurries.
1. Silicon-carbon anode lithium batteries
Single-walled carbon nanotubes are the necessary conductive agents for silicon-carbon anode lithium batteries, and can effectively mitigates performance degradation caused by silicon’s volume expansion, significantly extending the cycle life of a battery.
2. Multifunctional composite materials
Single-walled carbon nanotubes can be aided with materials such as macromolecules, metals and ceramics to enhance their mechanical properties, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, etc.
1. Pioneered the first arc-discharge technology enabling ton-scale production of high-performance single-walled carbon nanotubes
2. Pioneered the first low-cost purification technology for single-walled carbon nanotubes
3. A preparation technology using conductive slurries for single-walled carbon nanotube
