On September 6, 2025, an inspiring exchange took place at the Tsientang Institute for Advanced Study. 13 student representatives joined 26 professors from both institutions for a student-centered, innovation-driven journey of intellectual growth and scientific research. The event placed students at the forefront—they not only sat in the front row with personalized nameplates, but more importantly, had a voice in the discourse. From the outset, faculty members treated them as "junior colleagues", engaging in egalitarian discussions on science, challenges, and strategies for tackling truly consequential questions— no barriers or hierarchy. While innovative in format, this exchange exemplified a return to the fundamental essence of education and research. TIAS is cultivating a more open scientific research environment by championing curiosity-driven, long-term studies, fostering deep industry-academia-research integration, and building a comprehensive innovation ecosystem spanning fundamental research, technological development, and industrial application. Closely linked to the entire talent development process, this ecosystem empowers more students to scale new heights, realize their potential and aspirations, and contribute youthful vigor to China's technological advancement.
