Dr. Shukui Qin is mainly engaged in the diagnosis, treatment and research of clinical oncology. He serves as a Member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and an expert of the Central Health Commission.
In 2023, Dr. Qin was appointed as Dean of the School of Basic Medicine and Clinical Pharmacy at China Pharmaceutical University (CPU), and concurrently holds the position of Honorary President and Chief Expert of the Nanjing Tianyinshan Hospital and Shanghai GoBroad Cancer Hospital. Dr. Qin is the Founder and former President of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO), and currently serves as the Chairperson of the Steering Committee, leading the society to become the second-largest oncology professional organization in the world.
In 1988, Dr. Qin obtained a master's degree in hematology and oncology from the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai. In 2008, he received an EMBA degree from the China Europe International Business School. He once served as a Senior Visiting Scholar (Visiting Professor) at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States. He has led over 400 international and domestic clinical trials of new anti-tumor drugs, promoted the launch of nearly 40 new drugs, and spearheaded the formulation of multiple national-level liver cancer diagnosis and treatment guidelines. He has published over 850 papers in core journals such as The Lancet, NEJM, JAMA and JCO, and has edited and co-edited more than 140 academic monographs. He has also led the formulation of over 60 clinical practice guidelines and expert consensuses for international bodies, the National Health Commission, and CSCO. His accolades include one first prize and one second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, as well as eight first prizes at the provincial and ministerial level, among others.
